Services to Afghan Survivors Impacted by Combat (SASIC) is a 36-month program designed by the Office of Refugee and Resettlement to support Afghans and their families to address and overcome severe and long-lasting trauma to achieve their physical, social, emotional, and economic goals. SASIC provides comprehensive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care, encompassing essential core services such as medical, psychological, and social work support for clients.
